Brain Age Checkup Assessment App
Brain age games for research-grade cognitive tracking

About this project
BrainAgeCheckup is the free, no-login half of Thinkie's product line: a five-minute cognitive assessment, built on the same Kawashima research as the paid Thinkie sensor, that anyone can take in a browser with no hardware and no account. It exists to get someone from curious to convinced before they ever hear about the $299 device.
That meant building an actual small product, not another marketing page: three timed mini-games (mental-speed arithmetic, pattern memory, and a number/letter tapping test), each with its own instructions, live scoring, and a final brain-age result benchmarked against the player's age group.

Every step, from instructions through gameplay, grading, and results, runs in the same session with no account required, and anonymized scores feed the age-group comparisons future players see. An optional email unlocks a detailed category breakdown and training recommendations, which is the one moment the product asks for anything back.
Engineering-wise this is closer to a small game engine with a scoring pipeline than a typical Sandpiper site, and it's the top of Thinkie's funnel: play the free test, see your score, decide whether the sensor is worth it.
What we did
- Three timed cognitive mini-games with live scoring
- Brain-age results benchmarked by age group
- Anonymized score pipeline feeding future comparisons
- No-login, in-browser assessment flow
- Email-gated detailed breakdown as the single conversion ask
